The body has a powerful ability to heal itself. Pain killing drugs have their place, but they can be like putting on earmuffs to avoid hearing a screaming customer... the customer just screams louder!  The holistic approach is to listen to the real message... the content and meaning, and to treat the body with respect by acting appropriately... and to not take the message personally... to not take notice of perceived painful intent, and allow the body to stop yelling in its own time.  And speak quietly... what goes around comes around!
