Jaeger #15 - Heart of Darkness Part 2

Marc had a gun pointed at Sandy's head, and was struggling with himself, trying not to pull the trigger. Thru her ESP, Sandy sensed the impending danger and managed to jump far enough sideways for the bullet to miss. A strange darkness took Marc over, and a savage fight ensued. Realising what had happened to the Hunter, Sandy cast a spell over him, evicting the demon from his soul. Unfortunately, this did not banish the unholy creature, and it took the combined efforts of Sandy and Marc to finally destroy it. Afterwards, our hero revealed to Sandy that he knew where Azharoth and his inner circle were living, and said that he could take her there. Sandy was overjoyed, and it only took her a few minutes to gather all her friends together. Marc wasn't sure they would be able to defeat the Prime Master of the Nethermind with only six fighters, so with much trepidation he decided to ask Colonel Cassidy for help. Unfortunately - or was it fortunately? Cassidy had left only an hour before with his CO General Hartmann; bound for an alien crash-site in northwestern Alaska.
