Jaeger #21 - The Magick Earth Part 1

Marc and Raven arrive on the Magick Earth, a few miles out from Los Angeles. Raven tells the Hunter a little about the Magick Earth before they arrive at LA. On this world the city is heavily fortified and under Spanish control. Raven suggests they begin searching for Stormwalker by asking the Church for help. In St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Raven asks an old priest for help. The holy man suggests a Jesuit who happens to be Marc’s spitting image – save for his pointed ears. He calls himself “Marco the Hunter”, and says he hunts down evil for the Church. He agrees to help, but only if Raven and Marc admit their true natures to him. He forces them to reveal the truth with a holy spell. Raven says he is a killer – and Marc says he is a vampire. The Jesuit hunter is appalled and casts another spell over Marc, forcing him into his true vampire form. Marc goes berserk – and the old priest shackles him with some magical chains. Marco brews up some holy fire. Across the city, Stormwalker tries to make his new captive, Ric Storm, feel at home by giving him some dinner.
