Jaeger #23 - The Magick Earth Part 3

Early the next morning, Marc and Raven leave their tavern and head across the Magick Earth’s City of the Angels. They reach Stormwalker’s hideout and break in, but the evil wizard isn’t there. They find Ric Storm chained up in one room, but he refuses to tell them where Stormwalker is – that is until Marc unchains him, and Raven shows him the larder in the next room. Severely shaken, Ric reveals that Stormwalker is waiting for Raven in a nearby park. Raven and Marc take Ric with them, and on the way a violent storm breaks overhead. At the park, the mercenary and the wizard meet in a fight to the death that is cut short by the dramatic escape of the demon Soul Reaver. Stormwalker decides to cut his losses and flee, but Marc shoots him down. The evil wizard soon realises there is no escape and summons the lightning to claim him. It takes the combined efforts of Raven, Marc and Ric to finally defeat Soul Reaver. Raven is mortally wounded in the process, but Koot Hoomi makes a timely arrival and heals him. After everyone says their farewells, the ancient Mahatma returns Marc and Ric to their Science Earth homes. The Eidolons are finally reunited and returned to their resting place at Shangri La.
