      Rescued by the beautiful Salome, Marc found himself before Azharoth, Prime Master of the Nethermind. The self-styled Prince of Vampires was curious about Marc, but unable to telepathically enter his mind. Although grateful for the Nethermind's help, Marc felt they weren't giving him the answers he wanted. With the help of Bobby Lightning-Wolf and Salome, Azharoth explained where Colonel Cassidy had come from, but carefully glossed over the origin of his powers, and the real reason behind his presence in Colombia. In return for this knowledge, Marc had to detail his own origins. Unfortunately, he failed to do this to Azharoth's satisfaction. The Prime Master then told him he knew a way to unlock Marc's secrets, and summoned up the God of the Vampires: AKHKHARU!
