      When we last left Marc, he was at the PSI desperately trying to explain exactly what he was doing there. After managing to earn Sandy Yau's trust, he and the Chinese telepath go out looking for the missing boy, Sammy Cooper. Marc's excellent sense of smell leads them to a rundown tenement in Brooklyn, where Sammy is being held. Unfortunately, Stormwalker sees them arrive. He weaves a strange spell over them, putting them both to sleep. When Marc and Sandy finally wake, they find themselves stripped naked and chained up. But only Sandy has lost her voice. Using her telepathy, she enters Stormwalker's mind while he is sleeping and discovers his true identity. Unfortunately, this intrusion causes the evil wizard to wake up. Meanwhile, at the PSI, Marc's attempt to hack into the PSI Register has aroused unwanted attention in the form of Colonel Frank Cassidy.
