      Graves has had enough of Mission, and decides to kill him. He enlists the help of Shansaric, obtaining a homemade psi-enhancer from him, which boosts his power level to roughly ten times normal. He extends his consciousness into the mind of a computer programmer named Larissa, and under Graves’ influence she seeks out Mission. The cyborg, who is trying and failing to make some new friends, is completely floored when Larissa throws herself at him, professing an interest in his onboard computer. He lets her drag him back to his room where they can interface in private. They have a great time until Graves forces her to download a deadly virus into Mission’s computer. The infuriated cyborg tries to grab her, but loses control of his cybernetic arm. Larissa bolts in terror. Somehow Mission manages to drag himself to Dr Creag’s lab, where he collapses.
