How To Tie A Highland Dun

Tie on Brown Hackle tail tips

Dub on body and tie on grizzle hackle at tail

Wind on grizzle hackle.  Add turkey wing and cut as shown

Wing should sit up as shown.  Hackle should have a "v" cut in it to allow it to sit upright.

Tie in one brown and one grizzle hackle to the front of wing  Hackle should be slightly longer than the abdomen

Wind both hackles 3 turns. Whip finish and add cement.
