We’ll, the photos are pretty self-explanatory. Materials include Hare’s
mask, pheasant fibre, Alaskan roe globug yarn, gold wire rib, black tying silk,
lead and wax. Kamasan B175 hooks size 10 or 12.
Tie on a clump of dark pheasant fibre and gold wire.
Tie on one a half turns of lead. Varnish lead to prevent it from slipping.
Dub on dark hare’s ear. Tie through gold rib then tie on glo bug wing case.
Web page shows orange yarn I don’t have the red
Alaskan roe stuff. (Sub red silk).
Dub on body and tie off glo bug wing case. Flip over fly and tie on dark
pheasant tail legs, dark green or black. Tie off and cement the head. Use the
velcro stick to fluff up the legs. Pat’s recipe uses the darker part of the
peasant tail and hares fur.
