Balkan and Middle Eastern Dance and Music Camp

5th-8th October 2007

3 wonderful days and nights of Music and Dance Workshops, Concerts, Belly Dance Cabarets and Balkan dance parties, all in the beautiful Numinbah Valley in the Gold Coast Hinterland of South East Queensland.

“Bahar Bayram” 2007 brings together some of the most talented teachers and performers in Australia's Balkan and Middle Eastern dance and music scene. All of them ready to share their talents and knowledge in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

With the success of the 2006 Inaugural camp, 2007 is set to be even better, bringing together all our friends from 2006 and welcoming new people into the “Bahar Bayram” community.

This Festival was organised to help cultivate creativity and collaboration between artists and to encourage the growth of Australia's World Music community. Already we are seeing the fruits of our success with many of the 2006 attendees continuing to get together in music and dance, deepening the friendships and artistic collaborations that began at our first camp.

“Bahar Bayram” is a not-for-profit event planned to grow annually and all proceeds go towards running the camps and building on future camps and events. We're just in it for the smiles!
