ABOUT Poledra:

Poledra

I joined Second Life on 27th of January, 2005. My creating dreams were realised the moment I set foot out of Ahern. The adjoining sandbox, Morris, became my first haunt and I made many friends there, some of who taught me the basics of prim torture, texturing, and scripting, and showed me the wonder and beauty that is Second Life. I owe much of my knowledge to friends Eep Quirk, Lightwave Valkyrie, Davy Flytrap, and my RL and SL partner, BelGarath Stern. Thanks guys.

After three months, I had designed and created a few pieces of clothing, built some jewellery, an elven bow & shield, and my first two and still my favourite costumes, a Danger Mouse avatar and a Penfold avatar. My friend, Davy Flytrap, loved them so much I gave him copies, and he donned the DM avatar straight away. I very rarely saw him in anything else. Loving DM as much as I do, he built DM's car and postbox hideout. He also set up a DJ booth and dancefloor next to the postbox, where we held weekly parties and invited friends we had made, and anyone who loved Danger Mouse and dancing.

With Davy going back to school in RL, we closed the DM Powerhouse Disco and went back to hanging out in Morris and Island sandboxes. A few months passed and, with creations growing in number and quality, Davy asked me if I would like to set up a shop with him. Of course I jumped at the chance, and, although our first shop was short lived, our second store proved a great success.

Taking on custom work, we went from strength to strength. We eventually outgrew each other, so parted company to start our own ventures, but have remained close business allies and friends, helping and advising each other when we need it.

Three years on, Polygon Fashion House continues to maintain it's boutique quality and good reputation. For this I would like to thank my customers. It is fun to create, but to have others appreciate and enjoy, love and want your creations, it makes it so much more worthwhile.

ABOUT 'ME':

The 'real' me

Well, in RL I am a mother and wife, conventional & digital artist, animal advocate, with an interest in just about everything.

I have never been one to follow a trend. From an early age I was more interested in clothing design than following the 'latest fashion'. I love to draw, and although I can sew to save myself, I am not a seamstress. The mighty pencil (or mouse) is my sword.

My favourite genres for clothing would have to be Arthurian and Medieval, Fantasy, especially Elven, Fae, and Vampir, Renaissance and Oldworld Goth.

I also love architecture, especially from the genres above, and drawing my own ideas.
