Since I can remember, I have enjoyed "creative writing". It is something I excelled at in school, and yet I never actually thought of myself as "a writer".

In 1995 that finally changed when several people suggested I submit a story I had written to a magazine. Suddenly it made perfect sense, and I laughed at not having realised before.

Between now and then, of the 20 or so pieces I have submitted, I have had 5 pieces published. I literally jumped for joy when I received my first acceptance letter. The rejections are not so fun to deal with.

These days I am dispondent. I should be submitting my writings to magazines etc, but it is a hard thing to do. Apart from the difficulty in choosing the right publication for the right piece of writing, there is the knowledge that rejection may follow. Exposing one's self like that is very hard, as any writer (or other creative person) will tell you.

At the moment I am working on a novel synopsis or two. One is sci-fi, the other is actually a departure for me - children's literature. Time will tell if I'm any good at it. (-:

The Unpublished Works

I would like to share some of my as yet unpublished works with you. However, I fear literature-pirates, and am mostly scared off the idea (yes, very vain of me!). However, there are some pieces I have written to which I cannot imagine a publisher ever being interested in, and so I (shall soon) offer them here for you to browse...
