P&C Voluntary Contribution |
|
Parents/guardians are asked to pay an annual School contribution and a P & C contribution for children attending the School. These contributions make up a vital part of the School's overall budget. The money raised by these contributions is used to help run all of the fabulous programs and activities at the School – such as music, art, creative writing, fundamental movement, maths, science and dance - to mention just a few! For each child, the School contribution is $60 and the P & C contribution is $50 per family – that works out to a mere 31 cents per child per day! We all know you can't buy much these days with 31 cents – but we are sure you will agree that our children are worth every one of those 31 cents! |
Why am I asked to pay an Annual School and a P & C Contribution? |
Do I have to pay the Annual School and P & C contributions? No, the contributions are voluntary, but so far about 65% of parents at the School have made the decision to pay. When not everyone pays, there is obviously less money to go around. This means that not all of the School's programs may be fully funded and the School community may not achieve all of its goals. Also, when not everyone pays, it means that the P & C has to fundraise even harder to cover the shortfall. This extra effort leaves less time for important lobbying projects such as upgrades to the Toilets and Admin areas not to mention the school grounds. So you can see how paying the contributions really can enhance what we, as a School community, can achieve! If I haven't paid yet, is it too late? Not at all! There is no need to be embarrassed! The start of the School year is a very busy time and sometimes even important things can get forgotten! All you need to do is to drop in to the front office of your child's School and speak to the helpful office staff or contact them by phone on: 9242 3677 (Senior School) 9444 1418 (Junior School, Pre-primary or Kindy) or 9443 4022 (Ed Support) to make the necessary arrangements. Can I pay the contributions by instalments?Yes of course. Please contact the front office staff on the numbers above. Confidential arrangements to suit your budget can be easily made. I can't afford to pay the contributions - is there something else I can do?Yes there is. You can make a valuable contribution by volunteering to help at the Canteen or the Uniform Shop. Perhaps you could help out on the Fundraising Committee or with one of the fundraising activities held during the year. Maybe you could offer to do some gardening at the School, or help in the Library. __________________________________ Remember, if you haven't yet paid the contributions, there is still time to do so. If you have already paid your contributions, thank you so much for helping our school community provide the best possible experiences for our children!
