Question: I have completed the PayPal transaction for jCipherPAD PRO, but when I press the Upgrade Button, I get the message, Validation Failed.
Check the date, time and time zone are correct for you computer, and try again.
Question: How accurate is the enigma algorithm and data?
Answer: jCipherPAD in "Alpha" mode is a 100% accurate enigma algorithm; all rotors and reflector are algorithmically, and historically correct.
Question: Which variants dose jCipherPAD support?
Answer: Currently JCipherPAD supports:
  • Service
  • Service - M4
  • A6008
  • Abwehr
  • Commercial D
  • Model T (a.k.a Tirpitz)
  • Norenigma
  • Railway
  • SNA
  • Swiss K
These algorithms have not been included dew to unknown "step" characters:
  • Abwehr D
  • Abwehr GGG
  • BF
  • Deutsch K
  • Italenigma
  • Sparma
  • Swiss K4
If anyone knows the "step" characters for these rotors, please email them to BananaRepublic@optusnet.com.au.
Question: I have upgraded to jCipherPAD PRO, can I still send the jCipherPAD.jar to my friends?
Answer: Yes, you can still freely distribute the jCipherPAD.jar file, as long as you don't modify or profit from it, as per the user licence. The software will revert back to the standard jCipherPAD on any computer where the software has not been upgraded.
Question: Can I pay for jCipherPAD on a different computer to the one I want to use jCipherPAD on?
Answer: No, you must upgrade jCipherPAD using the same computer and user.
Question: Can I pay for jCipherPAD and upgrade the software at a different time?
Answer: No, users must validate and complete the upgrade transaction simultaneously.
Question: I upgraded to jCipherPAD PRO, but when I log in as a different user, the software only loads in the standard mode. Is this correct?
Answer: Yes, jCipherPAD PRO is a single-user licence.
Question: Can I upgrade jCipherPAD under multiple users on a single computer?
Answer: No, this issue will be resolved in a future revision.
