Instructions

jCipherPAD is a small and compact text ciphering program.

  • Open the Preferences panel(via Menu:Cipher, Setup) to adjust the setting or "Machine State" of the encoder.
  •
  • The "Mode Panel" adjust the cipher model used.
  •
  • The "Alpha Only" uses the classic enigma cipher, in all know variants(dose not cipher numbers)
  • The "Alpha Numeric" cipher used a sophisticated cipher method to encode letter and numbers, while retaining capital letters. (Alpha Numeric Mode only available with jCipherPad PRO)
  • The "Setup Panel" adjust the 'Reflector and Rotors', used by the algorithm to encode the text..
  • The "Rotors Panel" adjust the index position of the individual 'Reflector and Rotors', used by the algorithm to encode the text..
  • The "Replacement Panel", created and remove "character pairs" that are used by the algorithm to substitute characters within the algorithm.
  • Each individual permutation and combination of the setting represents a different ciphering algorithm, so don't forget your "Machine State".
  • Upgrade to jCipherPAD PRO.
  • Download the free version of jCipherPAD, run the program and navigate to the "Help" menu, and select the "Upgrade" menu item.
