TransferTGD

Runs JavaXMLTV then Transfers the  EPG data to the Toppy

Now GPL - source included - so you can edit it to suit your needs/grabber.

WHAT DOES IT DO:

TransferTGD is a small "free for personal use" (GPL licensed) application that automates running the JavaXMLTV Grabber and uploading the TGD data files to the Toppy without the user having to mess around with DOS batch files or Altair.  It's main purpose is for people who do not use TED/S.

INSTALLATION:

Just copy the whole contents of the zip file (TransferTGD.exe and the utils directory) into the directory where you have JavaXMLTV installed.

If you are using a different EPGdata folder on the Toppy you'll need to edit "transfer.ftp" in a text editor to suit your EPG data directory on the Toppy.

USING IT:

Just double-click TransferTGD.exe to run TransferTGD which will then start JavaXMLTV.  Once JavaXMLTV has finished TransferTGD will then transfer the *.tgd files to EPGdata on the Toppy.  You need a working USB connection from the PC to the Toppy.

To automate the TVGuide downloading and transferring the TGD files to the Toppy just create a Windows "Scheduled Task" to run TransferTGD.exe daily.

If you want to see the JavaXMLTV results without the window closing start TransferTGD.exe with the p switch. i.e. "TransferTGD.exe p".  See the included "sample_shortcuts.zip" for sample shortcuts with and without the p switch.
