Emu Dragon Mask

The mask is made from papier mache... a rough cardboard form, details built up in plasticine, then covered in papier mache and a final painted effect. The emu feathers were bought (in a huge quantity!) from a emu farm in Tasmania, and attached with the good old hot glue gun. Originally the piece was made as a wall hanging, but I was pleased to find it fit on my head quite snugly and looked pretty impressive.
