I made a REALLY lazy pattern for these... basically George laid on the fabric and i traced around him! Then good old curtain fabric made another appearance... nice heavy unbleached cotton. I whipped these together in a couple of days, and when finished decided they looked too new, so decided to put them through the heavy-duty cycle of the washing machine to 'rough' them up a bit. Well, I certainly learnt my lesson about pre-shrinking fabric! As you can see, the cream tunics are a tad snug. The cloaks were also a 'trace around the wearer' job. The belts were brown 'leather-look' vinyl... very cheap and easy to sew... then rubbed over with a cloth dipped in indian ink. The effect is very like old leather.

These costumes have made several appearances at costume events and and other Star Wars promotions.
