Princess Leia Bespin Gown
from The Empire Strikes Back

I was asked to be part of one of the dance numbers at the upcoming Return of the Jedi 20th Anniversary Banquet, so I whipped up the Bespin gown and appeared as one of seven dancing "Leias" in various outfits, in the "Simply Irresistible" number sung by Han Solo (lip-synced and uproariously performed by Darren Maxwell). It was a hoot!

I did a lot of surfing to find the reference for the embroidery (thank you Padawan's Guide!) but with neither the patience nor time to execute the necessary stitching, I brought out my old favourite again - puffy paint! The effect is great and was continually mistaken for actual embroidery until studied closely.
