*bureaucracy * [An administrative system in which the need or inclination to follow complex procedures impedes effective action:
innovative ideas that get bogged down in red tape and bureaucracy.]
When you meet someone new and think you'd like to get to know them better, do you wish you had a handy questionnaire
they could fill out to save you time in your busy life?

The following list is inspired by PJ, a dedicated public servant who occasionally forgets where he is!

Tick all the boxes that apply

You meet an attractive man/woman at a bar/party/conference and after introducing yourself ask if they wouldn't mind filling out the selection criteria form you just happen to have with you

If they meet the guidelines and indicate a willingness to go out with you ask them to complete a request form with referees names, timelines and expected outcomes

After a nite together you ask your partner to complete an evaluation and feedback form on your performance standards. Was it cutting edge?

At the end of a relationship you ask your ex-partner to fill out an acquittal report to submit with the relevant documentation and audited financial report

Your children must submit applications for pocket money [in triplicate] stating goals and personal development outcomes. You will look more favourably on applicants who have achieved funding from other sources.

You call your wife or mother and identify yourself with your full name and title

If you ticked any of these boxes it's time to hand in your notice and go get a job digging ditches! You are past the point of being able to separate your working life from your personal one and in danger of becoming absorbed by the system! Relax ..  life's not that serious.
