Top day for it.
whatever kind of 'it' you like, this was just the day for 'it'.
25C and so a walk around the city at lunchtime was definitely in order. Left the jacket on the hangar and made sure
to include the prime viewing areas of Collins St and Bourke St Mall. Very nice indeed.
Over the weekend I went to the rugby game between Italy and the All Blacks. As expected a comprehensive victory for
the AB but Italy were not as bad as you might think. They will push strongly for third place in their pool and an
upset against Wales is not out of the question.
I started reading THE OCTOBER HORSE by Colleen McCulloch as well This will apparently be the end of her Roman
series. I was thoroughly entertained by the previous novels and their enormous sweep of history brought to life. So
far the scope is very narrowly on Caeser instead of following around some of the other players of the time. In fact
it's like no one else of note even exists to date, which I will admit isn't very far. We shall see.
I also managed to squeeze in about 15hrs or watching sport throughout the weekend. RWC, cricket, the Bathurst 1000,
MLB championship series, some WRC and MotoGP, probably some other stuff too. Too much sport is indeed barely
enough.
The Project is only 7 days old and already we have a major, scary, bit of scope creep. In order to
to meet the deadline for season promotions and critic review bundles, episode one will now have to be completed in 5
weeks. Episodes 2-8 remain on the original schedule. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!! From zero to a million in just 5 weeks.
The good news is that there is already enough material to cover the first episode. Now we just need a set, an
editing team, an OB team and whatever else needs to be put together in order to film and produce the material we
have. Quite a long 'to do' list for the boys. It also means that I won't be able to get involved in the first ep
as much as I would like as I won't be able to adjust my regular work schedule to include this change. A pity, but
I'm sure there will be more opportunities in the new year.
