Amy is the Queen of this household. She's my first Vizsla, and the sort of dog that everyone adores. She's been a dear and wonderful family member, patient with my children, and loving and faithful. She's also been a dab paw in the show and obedience trial rings, as well as being one of the first Australian Vizslas to complete an Endurance Test.

While I am Amy's main person, she is also happy to do stuff with other family members, from doing basic Agility with Eleanor (born January '94) to letting herself be led home from the park by Connor (born October '00).

Amy has a strong birding instinct. She likes to find birds and other game, and points them strongly. She has fetched, of her own accord and at different times, a baby duck out of a dam and a baby wild rabbit out of a paddock, and delivered them unharmed to me.

Amy's favourite activities are going for walks, going for car rides, eating, and sleeping on or in people beds.

Sadly, Amy is no longer with us, but she lives on in her descendants, and will never be forgotten.
