Is a Vizsla right for you?
Vizslas might seem like the ideal dog - but they do have a dark side. What's good about them, and what makes you tear your hair out? Are you the sort of person who will enjoy one of these active, intelligent, social dogs? And will a Vizsla enjoy you?

Your new Vizsla puppy
If you've been to this page before, you may like to know that I've revised some sections of the puppy guide, as of November 7, 2007 - so if you have an earlier copy, you may want to update. I've changed some info about feeding, about Vizslas and children, added a new recommended book, added a little bit about using crates to keep puppy out of mischief and let you build your relationship on rewards, and a couple of other minor changes.

The puppy guide is a fairly comprehensive guide to keeping your new Vizsla puppy (or any breed, although there are Vizsla specific parts): it includes behaviour, training, diet, health, puppy's first week, grooming and lots of other information. It also includes the cover letter I provide with the guide to puppy buyers.

You can also download and print the puppy guide in pdf format: puppyguide.pdf.

If you don't have the free Adobe Acrobat reader for pdf files, you can download it here.
