Basket of Sunflowers

Size 2 x 2 + 1/2"
Gauge, Rows 1 - 6 of Basket side = 1" tall.
Size #10 bedspread weight cotton - small amount each white, black, green and gold.
magnet or 1" pin back.
Crochet steel hook size 8. Basket pin
Side = Row 1: with white, ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn (9sc).
Row 2: Ch 3, hdc in next st, (ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st) across, turn (6 hdc, 5 ch - 1 sps).
Row 3: Ch 2, 2 hdc in first ch 1 sp, ch 2, skip next ch sp, 3 hdc in next ch sp, ch 2, skip next ch sp, 3 hdc in last ch sp, turn (9 hdc, 2 ch - 2 sps).
Row 4: Ch 4, (4 hdc in next ch sp, ch 2) 2 times, hdc in last st, turn (10 hdc, 3 ch - 2 sps).
Row 5: Ch 2, 4 hdc in next ch sp, ch 3, 5 hdc in next ch sp, ch 3, 5 hdc in last ch sp, turn (15 hdc, 2 ch - 3 sps).
Row 6: Ch 5, (6 hdc in next ch sp, ch 3) 2 times, hdc in last st, turn (14 hdc, 3 ch - 3 sps).
Row 7: Ch 2, 6 hdc in first ch sp, ch 3, 7 hdc in next ch sp, ch 3, 7 hdc in last ch sp, turn (21 hdc, 2 ch - 3 sps).
Row 8: Ch 1, (sc in each of next 2 sts or chs, 2 sc in next st or ch) across, fasten off.
HANDLE : Row 1: With white, ch 26, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn (25 sc).
Row 2: Ch 3, skip next st, hdc in next st, (ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st) across, turn (13 hdc, 12 ch - 1 sps).
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st and in each ch across with 2 sc in last st, fasten off. Sew ends of Handle to centre of row 8 on each side of Basket.
FLOWER: With gold, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring; *for petal, ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in each of next 2 chs, sl st in ring; rep from 10 more times, fasten off.

FLOWER CENTRE: With black, leaving 4" at beg. ch 4, sl st in first ch, leaving 4" end, fasten off. Pull ends through centre of Flower.
LEAVES : With green, *ch 7, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in nect ch, sc in next ch, hdc in each of next 2 chs, sl st in last ch; rep from *, fasten off. Tack Leaves and Flower to Basket front. Glue magnet or pin to back.
