4 ply yarn - 30ozs. tan; 12 ozs. white, small amounts red and black.
Fiberfill
Two 3/4" black shank buttons.
Latch hook.
Crochet hook size H.
Gauge: 3 hdc = 1"; 2 hdc rows = 1".
Size = 16" sitting. HEAD: (make 2.) Starting at neck with tan, ch 35, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each ch across, turn, (34).
Rows 2-6: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn.
Row 7: Ch 2, hdc next 2 sts tog., hdc in each st across to last 2 sts, hdc last 2 sts tog, turn (32).
Row 8: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn.
Rows 9-14: Repeat rows 7 and 8 alternately (30, 28,26).
Rows 15-18: Repeat row 7 (24,22,20,18).
Row 19: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn.
EAR (make 2 tan for back, 2 white for front): Ch 18, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each st across, turn(17).
Rows 2-6: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn.
Rows 7-10: Ch 2, hdc next 2 sts tog, hdc in each st across to last 2 sts, hdc last 2 sts tog, turn (15,13,11,9). At end of row 10, fasten off.
BODY:Back: With tan, ch 49, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each ch across, turn (48).
Rows 2-16: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn.
Rows 17-19: Ch 2, hdc next 2 sts tog, hdc in each st across to last 2 sts, hdc last 2 sts tog, turn (46,44,42). At end of row 19, fasten off.
Front: With white, ch 26, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each ch across, turn (25).
Rows 2-19: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn. At end of rwo 19, fasten off.
Arm (make 2):With tan, ch 17, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each st across, turn (16).
Rows 2-15: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn. At end of row 15, fasten off.

Leg (make 2): With tan, ch 19, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each ch across, turn (18).
Rows 2-15: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn. At end of row 15, fasten off.
LATCH HOOK INSTRUCTIONS: ( lh ): Cut several 3" strands of yarn. With 3 strands held together, latch hook all pieces with matching colours except face. Work around post of each st, skipping first and last st of each row. Cut more strands as needed.
Face: Rows 1-9: With tan, latch hook (lh) each st across.
Row 10: With tan, lh around next 8 sts; with white, lh around next 4 sts; with tan, lh around next 4 sts; with white, lh around next 4 sts; with tan, lh around next 8 sts.
Row 11: With tan, lh around next 7 sts; with white, lh around each of next 2 sts; with tan, lh around next st; with white, lh around each of next 2 sts; with tan, lh around each of next 3 sts; with white, lh around each of next 2 sts; with tan, lh around next st; with white, lh around each of next 2 sts; with tan, lh around next 6 sts.
Row 12: With tan, lh around next 6 sts, (with white, lh around each of next 2 sts; with tan, lh around each of next 2 sts) 3 times; with white, lh around each of next 2 sts; with tan, lh around next 6 sts.
Row 13: With tan, lh around next 6 sts, (with white, lh around next 4 sts; with tan, lh around next 5 sts) 2 times.
Rows 14-19: lh across with tan.
Sew black buttons to centre of each white circle for eyes.
NOSE: To make a 2 + 1/2" pom-pom, cut 1 + 1/4" piece of cardboard, wrap black yarn around this about 75 times. Tie loops together at one end, cut loops at other end. Fluff and trim to shape. Sew to face centre below eyes.
TONGUE: With red, ch 8, hdc in 3 rd ch from hook, hdc in each ch across, turn (7).
Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in each st across, turn.
Row 3: ch 2, hdc next 2 sts tog, hdc in each of next 2 sts, hdc next 2 sts together (5). Fasten off and sew to face under nose.
ASSEMBLY: With tan yarn, sew row 1 of Back Ears to back Head piece at end of row 19. Matching pieces in same positions as back, sew row 1 of Front Ears to front of Head. Sew Front and Back, right sides together, leaving neck open. Stuff.
Sew body Front to Body back, right sides together, at sides and across bottom, and stuff. Sew Head to Body. Weave 18" length yarn through stitches at neck seam and pull tight to shape neck if needed.
Fold Arm lengthwise, right sides together; sew one end and side closed, and stuff. Sew to Body. Fold Legs lengthwise, right sides together and sew one end and side closed and stuff. Sew to body.
