Shell ( sh )= 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc.
Picot = Ch 3, sl st in third ch from hook.
CAPE: Row 1: Starting at neck, ch 107, dc in fourth ch from hook, dc in each ch across, turn.
( 105 dc ).
Row 2: Ch 3, * skip next dc, sh in next dc, skip next dc, dc in next dc, rep from * across, turn.
( 26 shells ).
Rows 3-36: Ch 3, ( shell in ch sp of next shell, skip next 2 dc, dc in next dc ) across, turn.
Row 37: Ch 1, ( 3 dc, picot,  3 dc ) in ch sp of next shell, * skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, ( 3 dc, picot, 3 dc ) in ch sp of next shell, rep from * across to last dc, ch 1, sl st in last dc. Fasten off.
HOOD: Row 1: Ch 43, shell in fifth ch from hook, skip next ch, dc in next ch, ( skip next ch, shell in next ch, skip next ch, dc in next ch ) across, turn. ( 10 shells ).
Rows 2-10: Ch 3, ( shell in ch sp of next shell, skip next 2 dc, dc in next dc ) across, turn.
Row 11: Ch 1, sc in first dc, *( 3 dc, picot, 3 dc ) in ch sp of next shell, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc rep from * across. Fasten off. Front of Row 11 is right side.
Fold Row 1 of Hood in half and with right sides together, working through both thicknesses on opposite side of starting ch, join with sl st in first st at folded end, sl st in each st across for seam. Fasten off and turn right side out. Hold Cape and Hood right sides together, centering bottom edge of Hood on neck of Cape, join with sl st in end of each row across. Fasten off.
DRAWSTRING: Work a ch 3 feet long. Weave this through dc stitches on Row 1 of Cape.
ROSE: Rnd 1: Ch 5, sl st in first ch to form a ring, ( sc in ring, ch 3 ) 5 times, join with sl st in first sc. ( 5 ch sps ).
Rnd 2: Ch 1, ( sc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, sc ) in each ch sp around. Fasten off. Sew one Rose to each end of Drawstring.
