In February/March 2008 in support of their brand new albums Perth bands The Chevelles and GIGANTIC will embark on a 6 week tour around the globe. The West Aussie Power Pop Assault World Tour will see the bands play a truckload of shows through Australia, Sweden, Norway, the UK, France, Spain, Switzerland and the USA culminating in the prestigious SxSW Festival in Austin, Texas.

The Chevelles got spat out of an 8 foot tube in 1989 and landed in the garage. With their influences in 60’s power pop and guitar driven riff-a-rama they spawned a unique musical blend of their own in the Australian independent music landscape. Guitar fuelled, melody driven surf power punk pop !

The secret could not be contained in Australia and burst out like a Tsunami to the confection generation scenes around the world. They have played over 800 shows around the planet from seething sweaty underground cave bars in Spain to 30,000 wild sand moshers on the beach in Brazil.

With 5 albums under their belts and numerous releases all around the world , The Chevelles have now found a new garage home with Little Steven’s-(E-Street band/Soprano’s fame) Wicked Cool Records worldwide. Early 2008 will see the release of an anthology of their tunes over the last 18 years followed closely by the release of their ripper new album “Accelerator”.
