Departs Hervey Bay and Kingfisher Bay Resort for whale watching.

 

Our marine biologists will share an insight into the whales' habits. You can hear the whales singing on the hydrophone. There are junior marine biologists activities for children.
Whale watch cruises depart from the Urangan Boat Harbour in Hervey Bay and Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island.

SOME HUMPBACK WHALE FACTS

Humpbacks can weigh up to 45 tonnes
They grow up to15m long
They consume 2.2. tonnes of krill per day while in the Antarctic
Calves consume up to 600 litres of milk per day
They live off blubber reserves while migrating

 

 
Free courtesy bus pick-up from Hervey Bay accommodation.
Twice daily departures,
  • Morning Cruise (from Urangan Boat Harbour via Kingfisher Bay Resort, Fraser Island) departs 7.30am return 2.45pm
