123 x 123cm - Acrylic/Linen - OA795 Alkwe is Gladdy’s Dreamtime story given to her by her Grandmother and she now represents the story for "Awelye". Viewed from above, the flora on the ground is dominated by the colour of this species, gentle movements of other flora are shown as a faint patchwork. This fruit is abundant on the Utopia Community, it has large leaves and small round edible berries. The fruit is collected, by the women, into coolamons and it is eaten whole or mixed to a paste. | |
