Gloria lives on a small outstation with her extended family group. These people still maintain a strong link with their land, traditional values and ceremony. An Anmatyerre speaker, her Dreamings are: Mountain Devil Lizard, Wild Bean, Grass Seed, Small Brown Grass, Wildflowers. She shares these Dreamings with her four sisters, Ada Bird, Violet, Myrtle and Kathleen. Gloria's first recognition was with her Batik works from 1977, but later was introduced to Canvas and Acrylic paint where she has developed and experimented with line and colour, creating distinctive works.
