Basic Description
The Jacob's Wheel astro-kabbalistic system is unique and innovative, and this software is a valuable tool for practicing astrologers because it offers a new comprehensive method of chart analysis based on the Jacob's Wheel system of tracking archetypal cycles and phases.
If you are a novice in the field of astrology then this software offers you some basic interpretations of your Jacob's Wheel cycles and phases. (Note: the interpretation database is periodically updated.)
What you need to know in order to interpret the JW cycles/phases is the basic meaning of the 22 astrological archetypes (12 signs and 10 planets) and to have an understanding of the way that they combine to produce a 'phase equation'. General instructions can be found here.
During a consultation all the cycle and phase archetypes are referred back to the client's astrological birth-chart and interpreted in light of their placement in the client's chart. So for example, if your client is currently experiencing a Jacob's Wheel Jupiter cycle their experience of the cycle will closely reflect the meaning of the sign/house placement (and aspects) of Jupiter in their horoscope. Example. Because the Jacob's Wheel system is particularly effective as a predictive tool it especially complements the use of transits and progressions during a consultation. In fact, an entire consultation can be based on an analysis of a client's current/future Jacob's Wheel cycles and phases.
Here is a list of the software's special features...
Basic Features
1) It will calculate and display your 7-year cycles/4-month phases, 3½-year cycles/2-month phases, 1¾-year cycles/1-month phases, 5¼ -month cycles/1-week phases, and your 1-week cycles/8-hour phases.
2) It also includes the JW Interpretation database from the AstroQab web-site. The interpretations are displayed by clicking a button next to a phase or cycle.
3) It auto-saves and auto-loads your client profile data.
4) It includes images of all the JW mandalas (astrological versions). These are displayed in the phase windows.
5) It allows you to change the 'enquiry date' so that you can examine the cycles/phases for any date.
6) With the click of a button you can edit the interpretation database and add your own interpretations.
7) It produces a printable JW 'Mini-Report' that lists the basic cycles/phases (plus interpretations) for the current analysis period.
8) You can examine the cycles/phases for any date from the year 1AD.
9) It graphically highlights the position of the JW cycles (for the analysis period) on the JW 'key mandala'.
10) It includes the phases of the JW 'Lunar current'. These are displayed with a click of a button.
11) It includes a 'navigation panel' that allows you to jump forward or backward in time in increments of one day, one week, one month, or one year.
12) You can navigate forward or backward through the phases while in the various phase windows. This feature allows unlimited phase progression forward or backward while you remain in the phase display window.
13) You can now build a database of 'client records' (or 'profile notes') that are directly linked to your profile database. This is an essential feature for a professional Jacob's Wheel practitioner.
14) The Pro version can produce a printable JW Report that allows you to list any or all of the cycles/phases for a user-determined period (as well as giving you the option to include the built-in interpretations). In other words, the user is able to customize the report.
15) There are numerous bug-fixes and program 'enhancements'.
16) There is a slightly different GUI and improved graphics.
17) Included is an updated interpretation database. The database will be updated periodically and provided to registered users as a series of software updates.
18) There is a 'button information' bar at the bottom of each window.

19) Included is a bonus political and celebrity profile collection and a built-in 'import profile' feature that will automatically import new profiles during your use of the program. (The bonus profile collection will be updated periodically.)
20) A Jacob's Wheel Help file is included and can be accessed from the program.
21) The four-month phase is included in the main window phase list.
22) There is a feature that highlights the cycles in two groups (rather than all the five together). You can choose between highlighting the 1-week and 21-week cycles (as one group), or the 1¾-year, 3½-year, and 7-year cycles (as the second group). The cycles in these two groupings have a special relationship with each other.
23) There is a feature that allows you to take a JW 'phase snapshot'. This feature creates a text file that lists all the current phases as well as their start and end dates/times.
24) In the phase windows the astrological symbols are displayed beside each phase.
25) In the phase windows the phase triangles are displayed.
26) I added a button that will open a gif image of the current profile's astrological chart IF a chart image exists in the JW Calculator folder. The names of these gif images must correspond precisely with each profile name. For example, if the current profile is called France then the gif image of France's astrological chart must be named France.gif. If the profile name is George W. Bush then the chart image gif file must be named George W. Bush.gif.
27) I added a new experimental function that determines the date when any point in a zodiacal cycle is reached (i.e. a point in your astrological chart that is in the same sign of the zodiac as your current Jacob's Wheel zodiacal cycle). Explained here.
