My name is Irene Chandler and you are visiting Barcoo Cattery, which is located in the Southern Highlands, 1 hour easy drive along the Hume Highway south of Sydney, New South Wales Australia.

My love of British cats began back some 17 years ago with the purchase of 2 male kittens, one blue and the other a cream spotted, which I showed for many years as neuter cats.

I started breeding in 1991, when most of the new colours were becoming popular on the show bench in NSW.

My decision to breed coloured British has been a success, with many achievements gained with Bi Colours, Tri Colours, as well as reds blacks, creams, silver and of course the popular blues.

The Scottish Folds have only been with me for 9 years.  In that time I have bred Folds with great temperaments, with all matings being Fold to British.  The colour range of Fold kittens is similar to my British.   In the short time I have been breeding Folds I have had great success on the show bench, with Barcoo Imabugga placing 3rd Male Kitten of the Year for 2000. He is an excellent example of the breed and one of it's finest ambassadors.

Kittens are available from time to time throughout the year to approved homes.  All kittens are raised in my home, underfoot and are not penned.  Kittens raised this way obtain plenty of attention and affection, resulting in highly socialised babies.

All kittens are vaccinated current for their age, microchipped, have been weaned and wormed regularly, and all have been health checked by my Vet.
