Our work involves the isolation of pipelines using liquid nitrogen (at -200 degrees C.) to freeze the pipe contents until they form a solid plug. We work mostly for plumbers, air conditioning contractors, local authorities and refineries.

The reasons for wishing to isolate a pipeline are many and varied, but damage to a valve is one of the most common. If a valve has to be repaired or replaced, without shutting down and draining an entire system, pipe freezing is the easiest and most cost effective method. A dam is built around the pipe and liquid nitrogen is poured into it. The constant contact between pipe and liquid means that the pipe contents freeze into a solid plug, thus allowing the work to be done.

Bondi Pipe Freezing was established in 1997 by Peter Molloy, who is originally from Roscommon in Ireland and who has worked for many years in Ireland, The U.K., Germany and Australia.
