About the Author
Burnard Morey, BSc,DCH,FAIM,FRACI,Ch.Chem.
Burnard Morey majored in Physics and Chemistry at the University of Adelaide, then did post-graduate studies in Management, Management Psychology, and Behavioural Science.
He spent many
years in industrial technology, production, research & development, and
management. He has been General Manager in a number of different industries, and
spent several years as a Management Consultant based in Sydney.
He is also a qualified therapist, and combined these counselling and behaviour modification skills with management and personnel consulting and training.
For many years he was an active member of Rotary.
Since retiring, he was for a period a member of the Economic Advisory Committee of the South West Development Commission (WA), and at the same time helped establish the Bunbury (WA) Business Enterprise Centre, and was its Deputy Chairman for the first four years of its life. He has also been actively engaged in voluntary work, which included assisting and tutoring students.
He also lectures on a variety of subjects for the University of the Third Age - an extension service of the University of Western Australia. For example: an annual series of lectures on the Evolution of Scientific Thought, and another series on Understanding & Managing Stress. He has served as Vice President on the U3A State Council, and as Chairman of the Development Committee.
He has published manuals on Learning, Memory, and Study, and on Understanding and Managing Stress. In 2001 'Chemistry in Australia' published his essay on 'Intuition in Problem Solving and Creativity'.
In addition to holding a Bachelor of Science degree, and a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, he is a Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
