Report
The Stickys had a solid win today and finished on top in Pool A in the Plate Competition - semi-final to come next week. JH lost the toss and we were asked to bowl on a very dewy MP10, so the ball was the proverbial cake of soap in a few overs but the bolwers did a great job of getting it to the other end on line with pace and held the Fumblers in close check until late in their innings when some lusty swinging lifted the score to 111 - which meant with the Grade 4 bonus we were chasing 136 to win. Wickets were shared around with only Pete and JJ missing out. The fielding was sharp and good catches were chalked up to Greg and Aaron.

Goose and KMc opened and quickly left no doubt as to who was in charge by rattling up a fine stand of 72 before Keith was bolwed going for one drive too many. James followed soon after chasing another six and it was left to Craig and the Duff to see it through which they did with an impressive mix of power and style. It was a good day.

Sticky Moment:

James's four and six off the 4th and 6th balls of the first over established a certain tone and in the next over when Keith casually smacked a helmet crusher for four even the Duff was impressed. But the highlight was probably the four all-ran byes when the Fumblers demonstarted by their returning how they acquired their name - the ball at no point getting further than a few yards from the wicket. Shades of the Enigmas 2000.
