Report:

It was a touch of ground hog day as once again the 'Breakers were up against the Kingsgrove boys. Jez called it right and opted to bat on a good day with a reasonable outfield at MP12. He was in the slot quickly with a start of 6,4,6,4,1,4 before drawing breath. At the other end Gilchrist Hunter whacked an aggressive pair of singles but fell to a quick lbw. JH came and randomly waved at a few not quite knowing what country he was in or what game it was and also departed lbw with Greg wondering who was going to hang about with him - particularly when Walt began to play and miss and play and miss and ... but then he middled one and that was was he needed. Greg smoothed his way to yet another 40 as did Pencil Man in fine style after his hesitant start and it was beginning to look better. Admiral Pete found the day to his liking as Kingsgrove dropped every catch he offered and went on to to top score with a strong 51. Jez and Macca finished proceedings off with neat cameos and we went to lunch pretty calm on 212.

Kingsgrove started well however and at drinks were matching us run for run at 4 for 126 and the game was on. It turned almost immediately however with Macca cleaning up the dangerous White with a pearler and then an inspired burst from Menga knocked over McLean in full flight and that was all but game, set and match - Jez 1-for, Macca 2-for, Pete 2-for, and Menga on top with a 3-for. Kingsgrove all out for 163. Two catches to Greg and 1 to JH.

 Sticky moments:
Macca's first ball after drinks to break the trend of play and Menga's great burst to crunch out the middle order. (JH 3/8)
