Report:
Can't tell you much about what happened early on in the match as the waiter was completely in tune in with his name ... by keeping me waiting.
It seems that we had quite a good paced start with Vice Capt Blood and the rock getting us off to a good start. Both displayed their signature shots, the pull and the paddle around the corner for 6. Blood retired on 43 which unleashed Goose Burrell ... a scorecard reading 66616641. The bowling left a little to be desired, and the boundaries were short in places. Nevertheless we were all amazed. There is no truth to the rumour that Goose is going to change his nickname to 'the Beast' or 'the Anti-christ'. However some interpretations of nostradamus' quatraine 313 arrive at the prediction of just this innings, abounding in 6's, including the mark of the beast. Big undies will need to return to the game to match this run of 6's and reclaim his title as the big hitter in the team. The Rock was able to see most of this innings from the other end before being dismissed for 27. Maverick then continued to wield the Reebock with disdain and he and the Dutch Oven saw most of the balls from the recognised Longnecks bowlers. Maverick went plumb lbw to the 4th last of these.
That signalled the chance for Slogger Murray to enter the fray. And he promply left, retired on 40 with the ball having been dispatched to all part of the boundary. No footwork was witnessed but power and timing and an extraordinary eye were on offer. Gaston and the Oven then saw us through to the last over before Gaston was run out for a highest score of 8 taking a quick single, and the Dutch Oven retired for 40. Macca and the Deer Hunter enjoyed a partnership of 2 runs off the last ball of the innings - from a ball that did not make it past the wicky and did not his a bat.
A competent batting display ... resulting in a score of 240.

After a shortened break the Dutch Oven returned his worst bowling display of the season, being dispatched to all parts of (and over) the boundary by Hodgson. The run rate being kept in check only by some accurate, vicous fast bowling by the Deer Hunter. Goose was eventually called on the remove Hodgson, one of the 2 batsment who were a there at last time we played this team, bowling with his usual variation and guile.

The game meandered from there, with the Longnecks never threatening, with Gavin Uncle never firing as we may have feared, and only scoring 25. Much joy and celebration was undertaken when Maverick removed him, caught behind. Burrell took another wicket, Maverick took 3 and the Flying Frog flailed 2 batsmen out, in an awesome display of arms and legs.

The Deer Hunter had 2 overs at the tail enders at the end. He claimed 2 pairs of undies but couldn't hit the stumps.

Sticky moment
A toss up between Burrell's innings of sixes and Murray's effort in pasting the ball to all corners.
