  WELCOME TO CATRAZ

I began in Labrador Retrievers some 20 years ago with a little yellow girl Sandy.  Beginning obedience at 5 years old, she achieved her CDX title in fine style.

My sister Coral  had a yellow girl Nikki, (Cadmin Hidden Delight). Being a chocolate point, not many breeders were interested in us. We met Marj Deignan of Rikim Kennels and thankfully she was willing to share her vast knowledge of chocolates. Coral and I bred four litters under the "Ronrick" prefix. The first of the progeny being my dear old friend Truffle, "Ronrick Cacao Girl", who lived a full life,  passing away in 2001.

After some time away from the dogs, I was fortunate to obtain Razz (Ch Rikim Razzamataz), rather she selected me from five weeks of age - I had no say in the matter!  I began the show circuit with Marj. Razz titled quickly and I was hooked. This followed with Deja (Ch Rikim DeJaVu) a repeat mating sister to Razz. These girls were best of friends - even sharing motherly duties, even feeding each other's puppies.

I was also at the right place at the right time in obtaining my Cairn Terrier Catie, Ch Nawlene Piano Star from Nita & Bob Carter of Nawlene Kennels. She achieved great success in the ring.... now living the life of luxury with Jan Whyte.

Catie's influence - producing 3 champions in all.

Tigger  (Grand Ch Catraz Symply A Star) titled early with some lovely wins - she left here at 18 months to live with Amy Jonas (Aimfor Kennels)  achieving her Grand Ch in fine style with a Group win at the Autumn International Festival.

My aim is to produce quality Labradors with regard to temperament, soundness and conformation. Every litter is undertaken with careful consideration as to  the best possible mating according to pedigrees and type, regardless of colour. I now have all colours and keep the best puppy regardless

My kennel is growing steadily with some lovely youngsters coming through.

The end of the day isn't complete until I take
down my team to the dam for a swim and a
play.

A great way to spend time with

these amazing creatures.
