Line Segments Filter

The Line Segments script draws a set of lines between corresponding points on two lines.

The user enters the coordinates of the end points of two lines, AB and CD and the number of divisions. Points are constructed on each line then corresponding points on the two lines are joined. This relatively simple construction method can produce very pleasing results!

AB to DC
A to CD
B to CD
C to AB
D to AB

 

Dialog Box

The following dialog box is used to configure the brush, number of points and margin.

Segment Divisions - the number of divisions made in each line. The minimum number is 2.

The end points of the first line (AB) are entered with these parameters:

The end points of the second line (CD) are entered with these parameters:

The type of lines to draw is determined by the next parameter:

The following checkboxes can be selected to draw the lines AB and CD.

The brush dialog box is used to choose the type of brush, opacity and paint mode. The spacing option has no effect with this filter. Some pleasing effects can be created using larger brushes and a low opacity.
