24/01/2005 2:57pm - ok ok everyone blog.. blog.. finally updated some of this page.. perhaps will work on a site redesign now i have time... no more tropfest!! showed afew pple the film on the weekend and some workmates... so far concensus is good... better than b4... *yay!* personally feel it has been a better complete effort all round this time... wonder how it goes with the judges! hehehe... *a new hope!* .. ok enuf movie talk... watched national treasure + kungfu hustle on weekend... must continue my quest to watch a new movie every day... b4 i continue buying anymore dvds... finally got hands on sisters davinci code and will bring down to melb to read... perhaps.. how intellectual?! yep aussie open action 2morw + wed nite!! cooool!! agassi vs federer and the hew if he wins 2day should be great.. i hope.. not too hot... must pack stuff ... lots of GRRRRRREEEEEENNN!! hehehe... turning 29 on sunday... *sigh* really gettin old skool man... ok gotta jet bbl bout sw celebration 3 convention plans + xmas holiday rundown! 20/01/2005 1:57pm - yaaayyy!! zzzzz!!! tropfest is over for another year!! the banana split has been eaten... hhehe.. after a almost sleepless night (i thnk i feel asleep on the floor for 5 min and perhaps a minute or 2 waiting for kettle to boil on the kitchen table... resisted all temptation to lie down coz i was afraid i wouldnt get up.... and b4 i knew it the sun was rising and the birds were chirping... whoa haven't done an all nighter in a loooonng time... im talkin unidayz... and that is ages ago!! hmmm) anyway my latest little film project was wrapped up at around 10:15am this morning... after afew glitches / scares... lets see if i can remember the nite ... 745pm dinner 830pm started editing session on last time ... again! 10pm laid down final footage on timeline 11pm becky arrived and commenced work on titles - got this fully yellow / brown thingo happenin 12am shower + sharon fell asleep! 2am finished titles and started adding background noise to mindy's v/o 3am elaine ms virtual editor f@#ker kept me sane during twilight time from malaysiahhh *hugs* 4am eyes def getting sore... turned the "corner" and woke myself up via 3in1 copi mix... sooo good!! 5am still adding background noise to final scene + adjusting mindys voice pitch 6am started adding music soundtrack from ivan 7am called ivan to wake him up coz he still hadnt sent music for scenes 6 & 7 *getting abit stressed* 730am woke sharon up to take a look at "almost there final cut" ;) 745am ivan called me back to tell me he sent the final 2 files *relief* 8am reworkin final bits and adjusting audio levels.. to my surprise we didnt need to add more clips of the banana split the music fit perfectly... and made the scenes less stagnate... 9am realise im gonna be late for work as having difficulty capturing completed film back to miniDV tape... *feeling very very drained!* 10am after much unnecessary panic and flutter figure out how to capture back to tape and commenced makin vhs tape transfer only to find frame glitches durin all scenes where i slowed the duration of the clip... soo back to pc to fix up those bits... 1030am recapture.. retransfer and ready for submission! the feelin of a completed project overcomes me as i cannot keep my eyes open on drive into city... 1115am hand in submission to tropfest hq... really such a none event.. they take ur hard work + money... pride and joy for the past 6 months... ok more like 2 months give you a receipt and say thank u... good luck... crap! i guess with the amount of entrants can't really expect something but perhaps a congratulations certificate.. or something ... i mean we pay $20 for a rejection letter... thats a huge profit...perhaps they should call it... fest all directors would be hopeful of their films... perhaps i should actually go to the event month... see wat all the hype is about... ;P
