PROCESS GROUP Hamish
We are initiating the participatory
process of communication. Mara- Distribution of her summary of Cohousing,
which incorporates information gathered from the brief writing day of
June 18th with Urban Ecology
COMMUNICATION GROUP
Adam reports that Hans would appreciate help with website- volunteers
needed article for local paper, Maya and Sharryn to do.
FINANCE GROUP
Noel - pressing need is to
buy land! Exploring ways of doing it ourselves, due to the spinoff of
greater affordability, thus we need expression of interest forms back
ASAP! Maya and Noel will be the only ones with access to forms for confidentiality
reasons. Adam - Proposes PROPERTY TRUST to secure land, which means
issuing prospectus etc. He will research further with legal help. Following
up Office of Housing commitment to buy. Meetings with ethical investors
next week.
EDUCATION GROUP
Adam suggests that people allocate themselves to research two cohousing
websites or eco-village type projects around the world and deeply familiarise
themselves with them. Would be fun and interesting!
INCORPORATION
Noel has written up constitution, which is currently available for input.
this will be ratified at our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, which is to be
held at 7.30 on Wednesday 26 July at the African Classroom at CERES.
If you want to vote at this you will need to be a member by this time.
Membership forms have been emailed to everyone, so please download and
send or bring to next meeting.

DAVID OPPENHEIM OF HIS PAST WORK AS WELL AS IDEAS AND POSSIBILITIES
FOR MERRI COHOUSING, DEVELOPED IN CONSULTATION WITH DESIGN WORKING GROUP,
USING IDEAS EXPLORED IN BRIEF WORKSHOP. PLEASE ALL COME! WE NEED TO
FORMALLY DECIDE WHETHER TO WORK WITH DAVID, SO WE NEED AS MANY PEOPLE
AS POSSIBLE TO BE PART OF THIS PROCESS.
