4. Communication Group
Paul reported that he would be having a meeting with Regina to set up a website. Zanni to help out and join this group. Cohousing Melbourne has attached a Merri Cohousing webpage. Which needs development. Paul is now the distributor of emails to our members/interested people. Paul was empowered by meeting to add greetings/farewells/ and other appropriate snippets as he sees fit to minutes of meetings Noel raised issue of spreading the word further – concerned about getting further financial input/commitment. Decided that webpage is best way of ‘selling’ the project. Webpage to include: Vision Statement, Photos of CERES Merri Creek, People, Public Transport, Land itself, Primary School, other Cohousing projects, sketch rough designs of Merri Cohousing Discussion re developing Merri Cohousing of a subset of a Merri Eco-Village Discussion re financial options of development – eg strata titles, financial gains from investment, body corporates, etc Current plan is to work with architect/developer to develop the site. Discussion re approaching developers to generate interest. Noel will invite a developer friend of his to next meeting to get some feedback on our ideas. Urban Ecology Vic willing to work with us over 2 Sundays to develop concept plans. Sun 18 June 2-5 Sun 2 July 2-5

5. Vision Statement
Paula presented 3 options. No’s 2 and 3 were both voted on as useful for different contexts. Group gave Paul mandate to use any of these words/phrases in communication as he sees fit.

6. Finance Group
Jane had nothing further to report. Noel reported information from Australian Ethical Investment, which he will analyse for next meeting. Bronwyn Pike is still being chased.

7. Development Budget
To be done by Urban Ecology will include costs of land/building and other costs etc Noel suggested that a presentation of a couple of scenarios asap would be useful.

Meeting closed with a decision to regularly adjourn to the Lomond Hotel after meetings for further discussion/getting to know one another…..
