Merri Cohousing Site Survey

Help! This survey needs a lot more work.

Where would you like the Merri Cohousing Community to be?

This question has two main elements. On the larger scale, what suburb/bioregion/area do you want to live in? On the smaller scale, what relationships to the surrounding area are desirable? How necessary is it that your work / shops / parks / trams / trains / schools / universities are situated close to the Cohousing Community? How close is close 1km?(walk in 10 minutes), 3km? (walk in 30 minutes, car or bike in 10 minutes), 10-15km? (bike/car in 30 minutes)

Please complete the following table.

In the second column mark the distance that would be acceptable to you.

In the third column write a number from 1 to 5 which indicates how important it is to you that the Cohousing Community is within the distance you have specified in the previous column. 1 = not at all important, 3= quite important, 5 = I would not live further than the distance I have specified.

Use the empty boxes in the left hand column to add other places.

It is important that all members of Merri Cohousing (and those in your household) consider these issues. The results of this survey will be used to establish a Merri Cohousing policy on location and will be incorporated into design processes.

Some members of Merri Cohousing may be unconcerned about location because they do not intend to be residents or because they are able to be highly flexible on this issue. It is important that this feedback be given to the group.
