Naval Tactics for both sides in the Earth Recapture Missions

Mars Base naval tactics followed the simple view of fighters attack fighters, ships attack ships. The Legioss's attacked the Inbit mecha and kept them away from the ships and the Mars Base ships attacked the Inbit clam ship.

The naval tactics the Inbit used followed their hive mind mentality, large numbers of Inbit mecha swarming the enemies.

The more successful tactics were those used by the Inbit. As the Clam ships left Earth's atmosphere, they released their deadly cargo of Iigaa Boosters, easily the equal of the combined Legioss/TREAD in speed and agility. With no need or wish to their own survival, they slammed through the Mars Base defenders to begin on suicide runs to slam head long into the Mars Base vessels. The Mars Base ships did their role well, but by the time they fired, the Inbit mecha had already been launched.

While the mecha from the Clam ships troubled the Mars Base forces, even more Inbit approached from the Earth below. In the First Earth Recapture mission, the Inbit had not yet created the Clam ships and the Mars Base troops mostly made it to the ground. In the Second Earth Recapture mission, the Mars Base troops were virtually unprepared for them and only a few, tiny groups of troops made it through.
