CHRONOLOGY
What follows is a basic timeline for the Human-Inbit conflict, with important events such as the Earth Recapture Mission launchings and what levels of mecha and technology available.
2050
- Earth is attacked by strange alien invaders called the Inbit who appear
out of nowhere. The human armies are no match for the Inbit mecha and the Earth
is easily captured. Troops from Mars Base launch a desperate counter-invasion,
but except for a few victorys (the most famous one at the hands of Johnthan Wolf),
it fails hopelessly.
- Human forces are armed with projectile weaponry and tanks. They have no hope
against the faster, lifelike Inbit mecha.
Weaponry and Mecha available:
Wolf pistol, Wolverine Rifle, RL-1, CVR-2, standard tanks and fighter jets.
Inbit Mecha available:
Iigaa and Gurab.
2080:
- Two decades have passes since the invasion. The majority of Humans on Earth have grow used
to the Inbit overlords, with many being born after the Invasion, and just want to get by.
- Mars Base launches the First Earth Recapture mission, which consists of hundreds of
troops armed with new energy weapons and mecha (Among them are Colonel Wolf, Yellow
Belmont and Jim Cooper). Most of these troops were born on Mars and have never even seen the Earth. There are some successes, but appearance of the energy weapon equipped generation of Inbit mecha ensure the Recapture mission is mainly a disaster. Many troops
are killed or stranded on Earth. Instead of helping the Mars Base troops, most people
treat them like dirt or hand them over to the Inbit. Some give up, others join the
resistance, most are killed.
- Mars Base scienctists have made massive advances in weapon and mecha technology, having
created powerful beam weaponry, advanced armor compersites and their own mecha, the Legioss
Armo-Fighter and the Ride Armors.
Mars Base weaponry available in this time period:
All previous weaponry, CVR-3 Combat Armor, SAL-9, FAL-2, Legioss Armo-Fighter,
Blowsperior and Bartley Ride Armors, ATT-30, AAT-40, Horizont, Garfish and Ikazuchi ships.
- The Inbit have also progressed to a new generation of their mecha, the Iigau and
Gurab Second carry beam weaponry that combine with their energy tracking system to
deadly effect against the Mars Base forces.
Inbit Mecha available in this time period:
All previous, Protector, Iigaa Booster, Shell-Dor Ships, Some (Rare)
Iigau and Gurab Seconds.
2083:
- TV Series begins. Second Earth Recapture mission is launched. Massive failure with most
troops killed in orbit. Stick begins travels to Reflex Point.
Mars Base weaponry available in this period:
All previous weaponry, H-90 Gallant, TREAD Armo-Bomber, MOSPEADA Ride Armor
and the Synchro Cannon. The AFC-01I Standard combat Legioss Armo-Fighter and all Ride Armors are common.
Inbit Mecha in this time period:
All previous with Iigau and Gurab Second common and begining
to replace the earlier versions entirely. Gamo and Gosu are about to see limited service.
2084-5?:
- Third Recapture mission launched, desperate last ditch atempt by Mars Base forces to
recapture the Earth. Stick and group reach Reflex Point and convince Refles to leave
the Earth. End of series.
- Mars Base realises that the Inbit can sense when their mecha and weapons are being used. Dark stealth system devised. Last ditch weapons (Neutron S missiles) created.
Mars Base weaponry available:
All previous weaponry, Dark Legioss armo-fighter, Jagd Dark Legioss drone,
Izumo class ship and Neutron S Missiles.
Inbit Mecha available in this time peroid:
All previous mecha, with the Gamo very common and the increased Gosu numbers appear.
Rations
There are really only two basic types of food rations, preserved emergency and
un-preserved normal.
Un-preserved food rations
Generally cheaper and tastier, the main drawbacks of un-preserved food
are it's weight and tendency to spoil quickly. One day of un-preserved
rations (or meals in town) costs 20 credits. Included are 1 liter of
beverage, around 1/2 kg of meat and vegetables, and a loaf of bread.
Un-preserved rations will spoil in 3 weeks, and weigh around 30lbs for 1
week (or about 4lbs a day). If bought in bulk (1 week at a time)
un-preserved rations only cost 100cr a week.
Preserved Rations
Standard issue in all Mars Base emergency packs, preserved rations or MRE (Meal Ready to Eat)
tend to taste much worse than their fresh counterparts and most prefer to eat fresh or so called
'real food' if possible. Upside is they won't spoil for at least 6 months unless exposed to water. Usually
freeze dried, powdered, or preserved with salt. Fairly cheap compared to their un-preserved cousins,
most people steer clear of them because the majority are Mars Base produced and can provide a reason
to cause displeasure with the Inbit Sympathizers. Can costs anywhere between 5 - 20 credits a day, or
25 - 100 cr a week, or free if rescued from crashed Mars Base ships and mecha. Weight is less than un-preserved
rations (less water is in the food) - 20lbs for a weeks worth, or about 3lbs a day. Includes servings of beef-jerky, freeze-dried and
packaged soups and veggies (just add water), various gravys and sauces to help improve the flavor and 500 mls of beverage (usually orange drink, coffee or tea)
