NEW AND REVISED SKILLS FOR
THE GCM RPG CONVERSION

These are a selection of new skills, replacements and Mospeada renamings for existing skills. Most people will twig onto the fact that Mecha Combat: Legioss Armo-Fighter supercedes Mecha Combat: Alpha Fighter ^_^

Use common sense when allowing players to select skills. How would a character rasied in a low tech village learn Satellite Repair, or even more importantly want or need to know it? Likewise how would a Mars Base character learn to swim, when water is completely rationed?

Piloting Skills

Pilot Condor Armo-Soldier
This skill gives character the knowledge and training the prototype Condor Armo-Soldier with or without it's specialised booster pack attached.

Pilot Legioss Armo-Fighter
This skill gives the character the knowledge and ability to pilot the Legioss Armo-Fighters used by the human forces at the Mars and Jupiter bases on the ground and in flight in all three of it's modes. Pilot Jet can be used instead but the PC will have no skill in using Armo-Divers and Armo-Soldier modes.

Pilot Tread Armo-Bomber
This skill gives the character the knowledge and ability to pilot the Tread Armo-Bomber developed by Mars Base on the ground and in flight in all three of it's modes. Pilot Jet can be used instead but the PC will have no skill in using Armo-Divers and Armo-Soldier modes.

Pilot Ride Armor
This skill gives the character the knowledge and ability to ride and use the various Ride Armors used by the human forces at the Mars and Jupiter bases in both Ride and Armor modes. Pilot Motorcycle can be used instead but the PC will have no skill in using Armor Mode.

NOTE: Characters who are restricted to the Basic level of combat training can trade One of their Other Skills (either one of their original alotment or one gained with the achivement of a level) to atain the standard level of combat training, with each skill at the basic level training needing one other skill each. I suggest to GMs that they restrict the payment of the one other skill to atleast the second time the characters get their extra other skills as this better represents the time and experience needed for the PC to improve from the basic level.

Mecha Combat: Condor Armo-Soldier
This skill gives the PC compelte knowlege and training on the abilities and weaponry of the Condor. This skill is restricted to those PCs who received offical training on this prototype mecha from the military testing grounds at Mars Base. Due to the overly complex control systems and the rarity of the Condor on the Inbit controled Earth, this skill is not available at the basic level.

Mecha Combat: Legioss Armo-Fighter
This gives the PC complete knowlege on the abilities in combat and weapons systems used by the Legioss in all it's modes. This skill is restricted to those PCs who received offical training from the military academies at Mars Base or Jupiter Base.

Mecha Combat: Legioss Armo-Fighter Basic
This gives the PC knowlege on the abilities in combat and weapons systems used by the Legioss in all it's modes. The Basic version of this skill is for those PCs not trained by the military academies at Mars Base or Jupiter Base.

Mecha Combat: TREAD Armo-Bomber
This gives the PC complete knowlege on the abilities in combat and weapons systems used by the TREAD in all it's modes. This skill is restricted to those PCs who recieved offical training from the military academies at Mars Base or Jupiter Base.

Mecha Combat: TREAD Armo-Bomber Basic
This gives the PC knowlege on the abilities in combat and weapons systems used by the TREAD in all it's modes. The Basic version of this skill is for those PCs not trained by the military academies at Mars Base or Jupiter Base.

Mecha Combat: Ride Armor
This gives the PC knowlege on the abilities in combat and weapons used by the Ride Armors in either of it's modes. The Basic version of this skill is for those PCs not trained by the military academies at Mars Base or Jupiter Base.

Mecha Combat: Ride Armor Basic
This gives the PC knowlege on the abilities in combat and weapons used by the Ride Armors in either of it's modes. The Basic version of this skill is for those PCs not trained by the military academies at Mars Base or Jupiter Base.

Mechanical

Mecha Repair
This skill gives the character the ability repair, modify, build and sabotage human made mecha. Can handle both minor and major repairs on all models of Legioss, TREAD and Ride Armors.
Base Skill: 45% + per level of experience. Usually restricted to Mecha Mechanic OCC

SpaceShip Repair This skill gives the character the technical skill and knowlege required to repair, rebuild, modify and redesign existing spaceship designs including those built before and after the Inbit Invasion. While the character can't design a totally new spaceship design from the ground up, they can usually modify/repair a crashed or crippled Mars Base ship to a useable condition and that preforms the job required.
Base Skill: 25% + 5% per level of experience.

Ride Armor Repair
This skill provides basic repair and maintanice skills for Ride Armors. The character can change fuel cells, reload missiles, oil joints, insure that no problems with the transformation equipment. Can do minor repairs, basicly replacing damaged parts for good ones and some rewiring skills. To actually repair damaged systems requires the Mecha Repair skill. PCs with the Mecha Repair skill don't need to take this skill as they already have (greater) knowlege in the area.

Hand to Hand Combat Skills:

Hand to Hand: Basic Basic unarmed combat. Hand to hand training given to most armed forces, or anybody who has fought and survived unarmed fighting on the streets.

Hand to Hand: Expert Advanced self defense training given to military forces, and those who engage in unarmed combat often and are quite skilled in it.

Hand to Hand: Martial Arts Generic term for the time and life intensive fighting forms of the orient i.e. Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu and Karate. Usually offers a large range of moves

Hand to Hand: Assassin A form of hand to hand combat ususally only learned by evil characters or those with little to no consideration for human life, due to the fact that aim is killing foes. Concerates on a range of quick and deadly moves that are in most cases lethal.

Hand to Hand: Commando The next level of self defense taught by the military, a sort of combination form with many moves taken from assassin training and numerous martial arts. Usually restricted to the Special Forces OCC, it costs FOUR other skill selections.

Some OCCs offer the option of upgrading a skill during character creation at the expense of other slots. Generally, it costs 1 skill to upgrade from Basic to Expert, 2 to Assassin or Martial Arts. It costs 1 skill to upgrade Expert to either Assassin, Martial Arts or Special Forces.
