VR-41H Blowsperior Ride Armor

(Yellow Type)

VR-40H Blowsperior Ride Armor (Yellow Type) with GR-103 and CADS-1

After the Bartley was proven as a viable combat unit, a version designed for male soldiers was developed, trading the Bartley's light armor and weapon systems for heavy armor and heavy weapons meant for heavy combat. The Blowsperior main weapons were a pair of 6 shot internal missile racks giving it a heavy combat punch and was able to take on the heaviest of Inbit mecha. As the Ride Armors bounced around, under and often off the Inbit mecha, the Blowsperior's designers equipped it with CADS-1, powerful extendable close combat blades to cause extra damage.

The Blowsperior's heavy weapons came at a heavy cost, the bike proved too expensive to manufacture for every Mars Base infantry trooper and was only given to special forces units. The GR-103 was a wide success and well liked, the CADS-1 however proved little use as often being in a good position long enough to use them meant taking a big swat from the enemy mecha. The VR-40 was mostly replaced by the cheaper VR-52 series, but it still continued to be produced in limited numbers for Mars Base special forces units.

Weapon Systems

Internal:
6 shot internal missile launcher GR-103 internal missile launcher the GR-103 is a RPG launcher built into the Blowsperior's chest. The launcher holds six 60mm x 150mm Recluse terminally laser- and radar-guided rocket-propelled grenades in each side of the chest for a total of twelve. The missiles are armor piercing or high explosive, and have a range of 0.8 km.
External:
CADS-1 The CADS-1 are long ceramic swords that extend from round shields mounted on the forearms (front wheel covers). The shields are covered in an thick armor to use parry close combat blows, as well as for increased protection against Inbit annihilation disks. As the system is reduces the Ride Armors weapons to close range only, the CADS-1 are usually only used with the VR-40
Hand-held:

Armor:

While the best defensive feature the Ride Armor has is its amazing agility and maneuverability, they are constructed from advanced ceramics and alloys, and will stop all human small arms and rifle fire. The Ride Armors provide excellent protection for a personal armor against heavier weapons as well as against many anti-infantry energy weapons. A Ride Armor can sometimes withstand two or more blasts from Inbit plasma guns, and the armor holds even under fire from the Gamo's heat cannons for limited amounts of time. Vulnerable areas of the pilot are part of the upper arms; thighs and helmet are not protected by the Ride Armor, but are covered by the CVR-3 armor.
