VR-52T M.O.S.P.E.A.D.A. Ride Armor

(Rey Type)

VR-52T MOSPEADA Ride Armor (Rey Type) with EP-40

The high cost of the VR-40 Blowsperior Ride Armor made it unsuited to either the pilot emergency vehicle role or that of a standard infantry unit. The M.O.S.P.E.A.D.A (Mobile Operation Soldier Protection Emergency Aviation Dive Armor) was developed using only forearm plate and hand held weaponry to reduce costs. The Ride Armors proved highly successful in giving the Mars Base infantry a more than even chance against the Inbit mecha. As the Inbit mecha progressed later in the conflict, groups of Ride Armors often had to combine their fire power to even cripple the Gamo or Gosu.

The T Standard was intended as an onboard ship model, trading the EP-40 energy pistol for the F models twin GR-97s. The T model was well received for it's acuracy and ammo efficiecy, but it lacked stopping power and unless the pilot hit the Inbit's vulnerable sensor eye combat was often drawn out. The ability to recharge to energy clip often made up for this however.

Armor:

While the best defensive feature the Ride Armor has is its amazing agility and maneuverability, they are constructed from advanced ceramics and alloys, and will stop all human small arms and rifle fire. The Ride Armors provide excellent protection for a personal armor against heavier weapons as well as against many anti-infantry energy weapons. A Ride Armor can sometimes withstand two or more blasts from Inbit plasma guns, and the armor holds even under fire from the Gamo's heat cannons for limited amounts of time. Vulnerable areas of the pilot are part of the upper arms; thighs and helmet are not protected by the Ride Armor, but are covered by the CVR-3 armor.
