The purpose of these personal profiles is to bring life and identity to otherwise faceless ideas and people.  They are intended to show that philosophy and the earnest pursuit of Wisdom is something undertaken by real people with real lives and not merely arid academics in cloistered environs. They are intended to bring the pursuit of Truth into sharper and more personal focus, because philosophy is something acutely personal.
