‘Next generation Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) training’ - an exciting new concept merging occupational and environmental health & safety, exploring principles of safety, culture and risk, understanding why some people take risks, the importance of emotional intelligence and developing skills at effective interventions

Course Aims

• link occupational health and safety, environmental safety and quality initiatives

• create a just, flexible, reporting and learning approach to HSE

• encourage people to work collaboratively across departments

• build a culture of “Find It and Fix It”

• understand why some people take risks

• develop skills to address non-conformances

• develop skills of people at observing risky behaviours and

• develop skills at intervention and ‘confrontation’

 Who Should Attend

• Groups of up to 15 (maximum) drawn from across the business; preferably who have participated in previous OHS training

Duration

• 3 consecutive days, followed six months later by day 4

Presenters

David McIvor – director and founder of Occupational Safety and Health Associates; David has provided a broad range of OHS/risk management consulting services and training to clients for the past twenty years, both in Australia and throughout the Asia-Pacific Region; clients include DuPont, Nufarm, Telstra, CSIRO 

John Kumnick – director and founder of JKS Consulting Pty Limited; similarly John has been specialising in his field for twenty years and is acknowledged as an excellent facilitator and organisational learning consultant; clients include General Motors, Simplot, BHP Billiton.
